Hello again from Annette’s Kitchen at All About Me B&B and isn’t it getting a little cooler!!!

This Scone recipe was given to me by one of our gorgeous returning guest.  And can be whipped up for that unexpected visitor.

A scone is a little bit of “Heaven” in your hand that originated in Scotland in the early 1500s.  So it has been around for ‘many a year’.

So easy!!! Give it a go!!!

3 cup self-raising flour
1 cup cream
1 cup milk
And ……..
jam of your choice
whipped cream

  1. Put self-raising flour in a bowl
  2. Combine the cream and milk then add
  3. Mix lightly and the ‘secret’ is to use a knife for this
  4. Sprinkle kneading board with flour
  5. Flatten out your dough
  6. Cut your scone rounds
  7. Put on oven tray grouping them together
  8. Brush the top of each scone with a little milk
  9. Baked in hot oven for 20 minutes or until golden

Now for the best part – just whip up some cream, maybe adding a little vanilla or icing sugar, then choose your favourite jam and put on the kettle.

Grab your book and enjoy!!!
